A.  Non-Sulphonated 1:2 Metal Complex Dyes

These dyes are called as neutral dyeing premetallised dyes. This class of dyes shows neutral dyeing effenity. The dye bath is set with:

X% Ammonium Sulphate or Acetate (ph 5.5-6.5)

Y% Levelling Agent

At the end of the dyeing little of acetic acid may be added if required for the complete exhaustion of the dye bath.

B. Mono-Sulphonated 1:2 Metal complex Dyes

This class of dyes needs better dyeing controls and use of suitable levelling agents. The dye bath is set with :

Y% Levelling Agent

If found necessary a little of Acetic Acid is used after 30 minutes at boil to exhaust the dye bath completely. 

 C. Di-Sulphonated 1:2 Metal Complex Dye

This class of dyestuffs require proper dyeing control and also use of a suitable amphoteric or weekly cationic levelling agents with proper control of ph. The dye bath is set with :

X% Ammonium Sulphate

Y% Acetic Acid (set the dye bath ph 4.5-5.5)

Z% Amphoteric levelling agent

Remark : In this case ph of the dye bath remains most close to isoelectric range of ph, therefore Wool gets least damage during dyeing process.
